Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake has been providing programs on the Eastern Shore since 1983.  We currently provide direct service programs in Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties.  We also provide other mentoring services on the entire Eastern Shore, including Caroline, Kent, Queen Anne's, and Talbot Counties.  Our office is located in Salisbury.

Community-Based Program
Spending time together out in the local community is primarily how Bigs and Littles develop their relationship.  After all, to change a child’s perspective of the world, it helps to spend some time out in it. Learn more >

Sometimes the best place for enjoying activities together is at the child’s school.  And, the best part is, it can be a great learning experience, in or out of the classroom.  Learn more >

Workplace Programs 
Meaningful mentoring relationships are established in real life, workplace environments.  Students explore career options and develop leadership skills while establishing post secondary goals.  Learn more >

As the State Mentoring Partner for MENTOR, our agency provides training and technical assistance, local mentoring program listings, and services that enhance and promote quality mentoring in Maryland.  Learn more >

If you are looking for an affordable event or activity to enjoy with your little, check with your match support specialist for our monthly calendar.  

Our local advisory board members are community leaders who have stepped up to help in getting the funding needed to support our program work.  These leaders have joined our movement and help us raise the money we need to serve the children in our local communities.  

We count on the local community to help us raise the money we need to pay for our program work in this region.
