Bowl For Kids Sake, hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake, is one of the leading campaigns to raise money for mentoring programs in Maryland. As a donor and volunteer based organization we rely on fundraisers to support programs like our Community-Based Mentoring, School-Based Mentoring, Workplace Mentoring, and Mentoring Resource Services. Our goal this year is to raise $155,000 that will go immediately to support our programs.
The amazing thing about this fundraiser is that it not only has an outstanding impact on the community but it is FUN. Participants register as an individual or form a team of friends and family. They are given the tools to create a web-page that makes it easy to get donations. Each person is asked to raise $100. After the campaign all participants will be invited to the Bowl for Kids’ Sake CELEBRATION where aside from bowling there is pizza, prizes and games! Participants receive a commemorative Under Armour t-shirt, two games of bowling, and rental bowling shoes. Register as soon as possible because individuals and teams that register before February 10th will be entered in to a drawing to win two free hours of bowling for up to twenty people at an AMF location of their choice!
